Union health ministry briefed on day 1 progress of COVID vaccination drive
- The nation-wide roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine was launched by Hon’ble PM Today.
- Largest COVID-19 vaccination drive in the world.
- Adequate quantities of vaccines and logistics were ensured at all COVID-19 vaccination session sites across the country.
- Two types of COVID-19 vaccines supplied for vaccination:
- Covishield vaccine (Serum Institute of India Ltd) supplied to all states/UTs
- Covaxin vaccine (Bharat biotech international Ltd) supplied to 12 States.
